VP Director of Training
Method’s Director of Training is Joe Zawack. Joe has his masters degree in exercise physiology from Baylor University, and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and came to Method after experience with Strongsville and Archbishop Hoban High Schools, Urban Active Fitness, and the Cleveland Browns.
Method is led by Amie OBrien. Amie’s experience as President and lead pitching trainer at Leffew FastPitch, in business for nearly ten years, exposed her to stories from parents who needed EFFECTIVE, AFFORDABLE and CONVENIENT training for their kids, beyond what they can get in school, and to supplement sport-specific skills training. Amie is an associate board member of the Positive Coaching Alliance – Cleveland www.positivecoach.org.
Head Performance Coach
Method’s Head Performance Coach is Ryan Bliss. Ryan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience from Oberlin College. While at Oberlin Ryan played for the Yeomen baseball team that won the programs first NCAC championship in 2015. After college, Ryan became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has coached high school and collegiate level athletes in the area for five years. Ryan created a Relay For Life team in 2010 to raise money for cancer research and continues to be involved in fundraising today. In 2014 Ryan was a member of the BEYOND Athletics program that took baseball supplies to Costa Rica and Nicaragua while playing against local competition, and recently returned from playing a season in the SABL centered out of Adelaide, Australia.
Assistant Performance Coach
Coming all the way from the sunny state of Florida, Anna moved up to Ohio to continue her softball and academic career at The University of Akron. While playing second base for the Zips, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science with a focus in Strength and Conditioning. Prior to her career at Akron, she attended Daytona State College and played two years as a Falcon while earning her Associates Degree. Anna also acts as an Assistant Coach for the Brecksville Bee's Varsity softball team and often volunteers to help coach for the Strength and Conditioning program at The University of Akron.
